Data Retention

Tech Site News retains different categories of data for different periods. Server access logs are automatically purged after 30 days. Contact form submissions are kept for up to 12 months to allow us to follow up on enquiries. Comment data is retained for the lifetime of the associated article. Analytics data collected via our self-hosted Umami instance is aggregated and anonymised, with no personally identifiable retention limit. Upon request, we will delete any personal data we hold about you within 30 days.

International Transfers

Our primary infrastructure is hosted within the European Economic Area. We use Cloudflare for content delivery and security; Cloudflare operates globally and processes requests through its distributed network in accordance with Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Our self-hosted analytics instance does not transmit data outside our own servers. We do not directly transfer your personal data to organisations outside the EEA without ensuring adequate safeguards are in place.
