Amazon is offering significant discounts on Apple's latest MacBook Pro laptops, with savings reaching up to $600 on select configurations. The deals apply to both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions released in 2026, marking one of the steepest price reductions seen so soon after launch. Shoppers can find these limited-time offers available through Amazon's online store starting today.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro is currently listed with a $500 discount, bringing its price down from the standard retail rate. Meanwhile, the 14-inch model sees an even steeper cut of $600 off its original price. These promotions appear to be part of a broader seasonal sales push by Amazon, though the exact duration of the deals has not been specified. MacRumors, which reported the discounts, notes its affiliate relationship with Amazon, meaning it may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through its links.
The discounted units feature Apple's M3 Pro and M3 Max chip options, depending on the configuration. Base models with 512GB storage are seeing the most aggressive pricing, while higher-tier variants with upgraded memory or storage receive smaller but still notable reductions. Availability varies by region, with the United States and Canada showing the strongest inventory levels. Amazon has not indicated whether refurbished or open-box units are part of the offer, suggesting these are new, factory-sealed devices.
Historically, such deep cuts on newly released MacBook Pros are uncommon within the first few months of launch, raising questions about inventory levels or upcoming product cycles. Neither Apple nor Amazon has commented on whether these prices signal an imminent refresh or simply a competitive retail strategy. Analysts suggest the timing could relate to back-to-school demand clearing or preparation for fall hardware announcements. Consumers are advised to act quickly, as similar promotions have sold out within days in past years.
Are these discounts available on all MacBook Pro configurations? No, the $500 and $600 savings apply primarily to base models with standard storage and memory options. Higher-end builds may see smaller discounts or none at all.
Is there a risk of purchasing outdated hardware with these models? The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros featured in this sale are Apple's current 2026 releases, equipped with the latest M3 series chips, so they represent up-to-date technology.
Will Amazon honor the discount if purchased through third-party sellers? Only items sold and shipped directly by Amazon qualify for the advertised prices. Purchases from third-party marketplace sellers may not include the same savings.
